These are fine mesh absorbent gauze impregnated with white petrolatum (Vaseline). The Xeroform Gauze contains a special deodorizing agent. The dressings are used as an initial layer in surgical dressings and on skin graft sites, for soothing first degree burns, abrasions and as wound packing.
